Camp Information

 

Participants of the 2012 InEuro basketball programs will be of two age groups, 12-14 years of age & 15-19 years old. Both groups are able to attend the collegiate camps. The AAU, D-One, & Five Star camps are reserved for the older age group. The NBA Chicago Bulls camp is limited to the younger age group.

 

D-1Basketball Camp & Indiana Junior Five Star Basketball Camp

For over 20 years Jerry Hoover has been the camp director at D-1 Basketball Camp. He has coached thousands of players (boys and girls) at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. The philosophy of the camp is "teaching fundamental skills so that young players have fun learning with a strong dose of discipline."
Spiece Fieldhouse is host to D-1 Basketball Camp and Indiana Junior Five Star Basketball Camp. The facility has eight basketball courts and other amenities, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.


Chicago Bulls Academy


Throughout Chicagoland the NBA Franchise hosts basketball clinics. Professional athletes and coaches along with local coaches (university and high school), teach campers the skills and qualities necessary for continued success.
Various high school, recreational, and university athletic facilities hosts the numerous camps throughout the summer. Camps focus on the age group 5-12. This academy would allow parents and relatives the opportunity to explore the city of Chicago themselves, while having an extended family vacation.


Five Star Basketball Camp


Will Klein is the founder of Five Star Basketball Camps.  The camp breeds competition with over 400 professional and over 1000 thousand collegiate players having attended Five Star for over 40 years. The nation’s best coaches and players coach the campers the technique to elevate their skills.
Lewis University will host the Chicago Five Star Basketball Camp. The institution has a Rec Center Fieldhouse, a multi-purpose recreational facility, and Neil Carey Arena, home of Flyer basketball. The Louisville Five Star Basketball Camp is at Louisville Hoops, a 9,000 square foot sport facility.


Hinkle Team Shootout Camp (Butler)


After back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament finals, Head Coach Brad Stevens has inspired and motivated several generations of Hoosiers. Within six years Stevens became the head coach after joining the Butler staff as a volunteer in 2001.
Hinkle Fieldhouse, located in uptown Indianapolis, is the home court for the Butler Bulldogs. Registered as a U.S. National Historic Landmark the fieldhouse hosted the IHSAA basketball tournaments, for over four decades. The legendary basketball movie Hoosiers filmed the State Championship game at Hinkle Fieldhouse.


Hoosier Overnight Basketball Camp (Indiana)


Indiana University hangs 5 NCAA Basketball Championships from the rafters of Assembly Hall. The tradition of IU basketball continues with the addition of Cook Hall. These campus facilities represent the past and future of Hoosier basketball in Bloomington, IN.
Head Coach Tom Crean has reestablished the prominence of Hoosier basketball. Although having endure several disappointing seasons, Crean has improved the image and character of the team, while exuding hustle from his players.


Indiana Amateur Athletic Union


Teams with rosters of the premiere athletes in the state compete in Indiana AAU summer leagues and tournaments. These exhibitions are scouted by university and professional personnel. Games are hosted at various facilities throughout the state of Indiana.


Indiana High School Athletic Association


High school teams across Indiana, practice and train during the summer in scrimmages.  


Indiana Basketball Academy


The academy encourages players to have a passion for the game of basketball. No matter the skill level, players learn the values of sportsmanship by having fun. The facility, located in Indianapolis, provides year round opportunity for player development.


Ohio State Basketball Team Camp


Head Coach Thad Matta has led the Buckeyes to over 20 wins a season during his tenure. A former head coach of Butler University, Matta has developed future NBA professionals while being nationally ranked. His teams have won Big Ten regular season and tournament championships, an NIT championship, and finalist of the NCAA Men’s Tournament. As one of the premiere athletic departments in the NCAA, the university has modern athletic and recreational facilities. Located in Columbus, Ohio, the university has been a pioneer in athletics.


Player Development Camp (Purdue)


As a former player for the Boilermakers, Head Coach Matt Painter has led Purdue to being ranked in the top 10 the past two seasons. Over the last four years the program has had the most wins in school history, for that time span. Purdue the rival of Indiana University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana.


Senior High Team Camp (Illinois)


Head Coach Bruce Weber, a former Purdue assistant coach for 18 seasons, has coached numerous NBA prospects. Weber is the recipient of the 2005 Associated Press College Coach of the Year. The Fighting Illini have reached the NCAA tournament five times during his tenure. Located in Champaign, Illinois, the university is an original member of the Big Ten Conference founded in 1896.


Steve Alford Basketball Camp


A legend of Indiana high school basketball, Steve Alford has continued his career in basketball as a coach. Alford was a player on Indiana University 1987 NCAA Nation anal Championship team. He has coached in the Big Ten Conference, at the University of Iowa. Since 2007, Alford has coached the New Mexico University men’s basketball program. A native of Franklin, Indiana, Alford comes home each summer to have a camp at Franklin College.


Spartan Overnight Camp (Michigan State)


Head Coach Tom Izzo has lead Michigan State to 14 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2000 NCAA National Champions and 2009 NCAA Tournament Finalist. The program has consistently been a powerhouse in the Big Ten Conference. Located in East Lansing, Michigan the campus is beautiful to experience in the summer.


University of Notre Dame Basketball Camp


Head coach Mike Brey was selected the Associated Press College Coach of the Year this past season.  For over a decade Coach Brey has led the Fighting Irish to seven NCAA March Madness appearances. His peers in the Big East Conference honored him as the 2007 & 2008 Big East Coach of the Year. Notre Dame located in South Bend is a landmark in and of itself. The university boasts historic and modern recreational and collegiate facilities to allow the campers to develop their talent.
